Got another great piece of furniture to transform

This piece has such potential.... with a little help it can make it's way out of the storage shed and into the office....

GIRLS NIGHT OUT AT NOT TOO SHABBY

Last night was our first "Girls Night Out" Shopping Trip at Not Too Shabby....

we had a great turnout... lots of food and wine .... lots of shopping and chatting...

Everyone seemed to get lots of Holiday Gifts taken care of ......

We also had Creative Confections by Nancy there.... home made chocolate and candy...

hula hoops filled with gumballs were a huge hit !!! as well as handmade chocolate sleds filled with chocolate covered popcorn and other goodies .....

Girls Night Out is not just for holiday shoppping..it can be anytime you need to get out and be with friends....

AWESOME transformation....

When I got this china cabinet it was in a sad, "dark" state. Because it had such beautiful detail on the sides.... a slightly worn, painted floral design, I decided to paint the cabinet but leave the floral pattern.....

Working with the colors in the floral... I painted it a bright turq, glazed it with an aging gel, distressed it a "bit", and added a slight touch of gold to the edges....

"Grandma" would NEVER recognize this one!!

The Chair Transformation is complete

The tapestry was cleaned on the chiar, as it was too fragile to remove... the old faded green fabric was removed ( carefully ) and replaced with a pale taupe velvet, with pale taupe trim....

Antique Chair in need of a face lift...

Here is one of my latest "before" shots. This awesome chair is at least 100 years old....

The objective is to salvage the "very fragile" tapestry and recover the rest....

I will keep you posted as to the progress......
